Field Support Manager

What you will do 
Field Support Manager
will cover Eastern Central and Southern US.

Serves as primary field-based product liaison responsible for launch and initial indoctrination of new and updated technologies and products to the operations teams. Escalates and manages support efforts to resolve technical operational delivery issues that require significant coordination between the field and headquarters support functions. Identifies gaps and establishes improvement plans for on-site technical support issues and employee development planning. Provide review and mitigation plans for field projects that are not performing well or on track during startup. Assist with special project development solutions for customers. 
How you will do it

  • Provides input into new process or standards in support of the organization's business/function strategies.

  • Often uses influence to convince both internal and external parties that have a desire to reach agreement to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.

  • Often uses advanced knowledge within a specific discipline integrating theory with organizational practices. Occasionally uses broad organizational practices across several different job areas or mastery of a discipline within a function.

  • Collaborates with, and takes direction from the lead FSM for the Territory.

  • Develops positive relationships with customers and Area or Local Market management.

  • Collaborates with Local Market Projects and Truck Based delivery teams.

  • Supports the Systems Engineering group with complex integration and startup planning and direction.

  • Arranges Territory technical training based on local market requests and investigates performance issues.

  • Reviews existing training programs for suitability and field needs. 

  • Provides training for field projects and technical processes.

  • Provide sales support for advanced IT or Technical customers.

  • Participate in regular meetings with the Area Technical Leaders to help raise knowledge of current issues and share best practices.

Qualifications

What we look for :

  • Associates Degree or Tech School Diploma with at least 5 years of experience in branch and field support roles. 

  • Broad knowledge of building systems and control products usually acquired through experience in the field.  

  • Broad knowledge of business processes used to plan, deliver, and support the organization’s products and services. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, project planning and management and team building.  

  • Able to travel up to 50%.  This will vary on project assignment.  

  • Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Programming in general (e.g. VBA, VB.net or C#).
