Who we are looking for

The Operational Risk & Compliance (ORC) team serves as a first line of defense risk partner for the Global Credit Finance (GCF) division of State Street’s Investment Services. ORC supports GCF by helping identify, assess, manage, and mitigate operational risk while ensuring compliance with corporate, divisional, and regulatory requirements.

This position is well suited for an action-oriented individual with experience in business process analysis, managing multiple priorities, and who has a strong interest in building their risk and compliance knowledge.

What you will be responsible for

As a member of the Operational Risk & Compliance (ORC) team you will;

  • Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risk across products, processes, and systems.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end issue lifecycle, including self‑identified issues, audit findings, control testing outcomes, and incidents—ensuring timely documentation, tracking, remediation, and closure
  • Partner with business teams to design, enhance, and document controls
  • Coordinate and support corporate and regulatory audits, including responding to requests, participating in walkthroughs, and ensuring consistency and accuracy across submissions.
  • Assist in risk management programs including product risk assessments (RCSA, MRI)
  • Participate in the assessment, implementation, and adherence to policies, procedures and guidelines prescribed by corporate functions and business partners such as Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Information Security, etc.
  • Take initiative to lead targeted projects to assess risk and control deficiencies as needed

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Operational Risk, Controls, Audit, Compliance, or a related risk area, preferably within a financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with issue management frameworks, audit coordination, and control design principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-5 years of equivalent professional experience

Minimum Salary:

zł132,000 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
