Flowserve is seeking a high-stamina, battle-tested On-Site Project Manager to anchor operations at our high-stakes Quick Response Repair Center (QRC) in Rancho Domingu, CA.

Unlike remote administrative roles, this position demands a physical, daily presence right on the shop floor where heavy industrial pump teardowns and overhauls take place. QRC operations are fast-paced, high-stress, and entirely unpredictable. When a critical chemical or oil and gas facility suffers an emergency outage, their assets land directly on your shop floor. We need a resilient project leader who can manage customer anxiety, withstand intense operating rigors, and drive immediate technical turnaround cycles when holiday or weekend emergencies strike.

Core Responsibilities

  • On-Site Operations Control: Own the end-to-end project execution cycle for rotating equipment overhauls, custom machining, and emergency physical pump repairs on the shop floor.
  • High-Exposure Liaison: Function as the primary voice of the facility, managing communication across regional sales reps, shop mechanics, internal supply chains, and emergency plant buyers.
  • Emergency Turnaround Tracking: Adapt project plans rapidly to handle high-stress emergency scopes of work that arrive unpredictably.
  • Spreadsheet Rigor: Flawlessly organize all active project schedules, job routing notes, parts procurement pipelines, and delivery updates utilizing strict email and sheet controls.

Required Qualifications

  • Heavy Aftermarket Experience: Proven, successful project management history derived from a hands-on rotating equipment service center, heavy machine shop, or automated industrial repair facility.
  • Pump Intimacy: Deep familiarity with heavy industrial rotating machinery, including custom API pumps utilized heavily throughout the California oil and gas corridor.
  • Mental Resilience: Proven emotional control and focus required to face intense customer pressure, tight emergency windows, and demanding plant turnaround deadlines.
