Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability. 

This Manager, People Technology Engineering role sits on the People Technology team in the Expedia Corporate Functions – People Team.  The People Tech team develops and optimizes Expedia’s People Technology such as ServiceNow Employee Workflows, Workday HCM, Recruiting, Learning, US Payroll, and AWS.  In this role, your expertise and passion for innovation, developing cutting edge-technology, and implementing industry-leading solutions will improve the experience of Expedians each year. 

What you'll do:

  • Guide and coach a team to successfully deliver on lofty goals with speed and quality.

  • Ensure your team is following coding standards and engineering excellence practices.

  • Provide ongoing, real-time feedback to engineers on your team to promote their growth; partner with technical product managers to collect feedback and lead team progress toward goals.

  • Provide high level engineering estimates, manage resources and drive delivery.

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers in defining intelligent solutions that incorporate data insights, as well as, your technical perspective in furthering the product and business.

  • Work across organizational boundaries (brands, divisions) to collaborate with other technology teams to solve complex, integrated problems.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years proven experience in leadership and team building

  • Preferred: 3+ years software development experience in enterprise software such as ServiceNow Workflows, Workday HCM or Recruiting, AWS

  • Preferred: Expertise in agile software tools, such as Jira, development methodologies and their adoption within teams

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills - able to translate between technical and business group, bring forward a vision or opinion

  • Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritize decisions and tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Able to lead teams of different experience levels and mentor and coach accordingly

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
