Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate may be responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Perform various accounting duties as needed; assist with the completion of special projects.  Keep position procedure documentation up to date.
  • Train clerical associates on day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Coordinate department workload by ensuring fair distribution of tasks.  Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Participate in testing of financial systems and provide departmental knowledge of processes to ensure system implementations are designed appropriately.
  • Prepare and run various daily, weekly, and monthly reports; sort and distribute for use as necessary.
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices, including vendor statements, and other accounting documents or records.  Enters data into financial system.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal associates to answer questions and resolve issues, including reconciliation and auditing of company records.
  • Investigate and analyze discrepancies and recommend issue resolution.  Escalates as needed.
  • Processing payments per PO Policy.  Prepare journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ability to use department specific processes and systems.  Understand system integrations and monitor for accurate completion.Assist with departmental projects as assigned. Expected to cross-train in multiple department positions.

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).  Associate degree preferred. 1-2 previous years’ experience in a similar role.
