Role Summary  

Own business engagement, demand intake, and backlog prioritization for US commercial stakeholders. Define what and why behind work, ensuring strategic clarity and stakeholder communication. Partner tightly with the Reporting, Field Operations counterpart to convert prioritized requirements into executable plans with stable production outcomes across on-platform reporting, off-platform reporting, and sampling/analytics. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Business Engagement and Intake: Maintain strong relationships with SFO, Sales Leadership, Brand LT, and CPOs; run structured intake; validate and prioritize requirements with clear business rules and acceptance criteria. 

  • Strategic Road mapping: Translate commercial strategy into quarterly roadmaps with full visibility of dependencies, capacities, and delivery risks; communicate changes and trade-offs. 

  • Requirements Quality: Provide clear, complete, and validated requirements including business logic, data sources, and expected outputs; minimize downstream rework. 

  • Delivery Partnership: Coordinates build/test/deploy/run with GBS teams; aligns dependencies with vendors and Commercial IT; maintains shared operating rhythm and dashboards for transparency. 

  • Governance and Alignment: Lead discovery and solutioning with the DOE; participate in sprint reviews, monthly integrated delivery reviews, MORs, and QBR support; co-own escalation pathways and status updates to GBS/GFO leadership. 

  • Stakeholder Communication: Deliver transparent operational updates and outcomes; ensure decision-makers have timely insight into risks, mitigations, and impacts. 

  • Intake-to-Execution Handoff: Confirm technical feasibility and capacity fit with DOE; ensure sprint readiness and release alignment. 

  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Capture field pain points; sponsor improvements that reduce cycle time, defects, and rework; champion new capabilities that elevate reporting and analytics. 

  • Metrics Sponsorship: Sponsor upstream OKRs and KPIs such as right-first-time requirements, dependency visibility, reduced rework, and stakeholder satisfaction. 

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related field. 

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in field operations/analytics/reporting or management consulting in pharmaceutical industry. 

  • Tools and Domain: Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, MicroStrategy); Working knowledge of CRM platforms (Veeva/Salesforce), data platforms (Snowflake/Azure), and integration concepts (ETL/APIs).  

  • Competencies: Strong governance, requirements management, and organizational skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management; ability to operate across time zones; high judgment and change management capability. 

Success Measures (OKRs) 

  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: High satisfaction ratings from Field Reporting and SFO; reduced rework due to clear, testable requirements. 

  • Delivery Performance and Predictability: Clear, prioritized backlog enabling >95% on-time sprint commitments and releases. 

  • Issue Resolution: Faster time-to-resolution and clear communication on incidents; visible reduction in recurring issues. 

  • Operational Governance: 100% documentation of risks/dependencies in governance reviews; zero avoidable escalations due to unclear status.
