DM Lead ASIA ANZ

Job Description

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the execution of the multi-year Digital Manufacturing strategy within Asia-ANZ, and to coordinate Continuous Improvement activities within the Region to enable top tier performance.

He/she will be accountable to deploy our Digital Manufacturing strategy as the overall Program Manager and therefore will handle both technical execution and capability building strategy for our organization, aiming to achieve a highly connected, operationally efficient, and effective manufacturing environment across Kimberly-Clark’s facilities within ASIA ANZ. Key stakeholders include, but are not limited to, Supply Chain Regional Team, Global Supply Chain Team, Manufacturing Directors, Mill Managers, Senior Leadership, DTS, Engineering and Mill teams.

Primary duties include Technical deployment and optimization of tools, systems, best practise sharing; and build capabilities which supports our People strategy and Factory of the future strategy.

Specific focus will be the full implementation of MES system across the Region and optimization of OSI, fully leveraging data analytics capability to bring our Supply Chain operation to the next level.

Additionally, he/she will lead, integrate, and leverage our Continuous Improvement regional Team to ensure our Digital Manufacturing strategy is fully connected to regional needs.

Key Responsibilities and Scope

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of an Asia-ANZ Digital Manufacturing strategy that will position KC SC as a top tier performer.
  • Accountable to deploy IFP Digital Manufacturing strategy, acting as overall DM Program Manager for the ABU, aiming to achieve a highly connected, operationally efficient, and effective Digital Manufacturing environment across Kimberly-Clark’s facilities within the ABU.
  • Key influencer in the development and implementation of a Global Digital Manufacturing strategy
  • Leverage a global mindset with the ability to dimension business case/value delivery in Supply Chain and across all businesses within ASIA ANZ to drive value for the business
  • Managing Stakeholders at various levels of the ABU and the IFP organization.

Technical execution (hard skills focus):

  • Manage\ lead the Digital Team to drive MES implementation to fulfill (or anticipate) regional execution timeline; optimize and amplify OSI system development.
  • Create and facilitate collaboration platforms for best practice sharing of digital technologies, Data Experts building, and tools across the ASIA ANZ region.
  • Research emerging trends and create internal and external networks to learn about new manufacturing technologies to develop insights and recommendations to Leadership and Core Teams.

Capability building (soft skills focus):

  • Co-ordinate and leverage strong partnership with the Plant Managers to deploy a thorough training plan to support our Digital Manufacturing strategy. To map and design the right framework needed to satisfy the needs of our People within all different levels in the organization (as example but not limited to):
    • “People of the future” framework development
    • “Process Engineers of the future” framework development
    • “Area Manager of the future” framework development
    • Factory of the future
  • Lead, integrate and leverage our LSS continuous improvement regional Team while building the training framework, aiming to amplify the effectiveness / speed of value creation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Process\ Electric Engineering, Automation engineer or Technical Degree from an accredited University.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a Consumer/Professional business unit.
  • Exposure to Lean and demonstrated examples of application of LEAN principles.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain interconnectivities relative to overall business implications
  • Previous exposure to internal supply chain metrics: OEE, ATS, OTIF & RFT.
  • Some exposure to large, interconnected software systems such as SAP ERP, MES, OSI Historian, PIMS, PIPE, Warehouse management systems etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, Power Bi and Power Apps, Next Gen AI.
  • Some process knowledge of Paper converting is advantageous.
