Job Summary
The Surgical Services Process Improvement Specialist assists and collaborates with the Surgical Services leadership team to support the operational improvement projects for the service line; supports change processes, leads/participates in new and existing program development, monitors operational quality metrics and collaborates with other managers to address process changes. Supports contract management, project management, and serve as the Surgical Services liaison with Material Management. Leads/participates in cost reduction strategies; supports Surgical Services managers; mine data and develop/present reports; and facilitate data-based decision making. Participates in goal setting and achievement of these, assuring Surgical Services alignment with CHOC’s vision and mission.Pay Range
Minimum $40.66 Midpoint $53.87 Maximum $67.09Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience in leading complex performance improvement projects in a healthcare setting Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in a healthcare setting
• Preferred: Knowledge of surgical services experience (OR, Cath Lab, Ambulatory Surgery)
Education
• Required: Graduation from an accredited school with bachelor’s degree in finance /accounting/ business administration or similar subject area
