Job Description: 

As a Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Intel's financial strategies, supporting critical business units, and driving impactful decision-making processes. This position offers the opportunity to support technologists and business leaders advancing Intel's innovation in Data Centers, Artificial Intelligence, and other cutting-edge fields. Your contributions will support Intel's mission of delivering world-class technology while ensuring financial discipline and integrity.

You will be responsible for analyzing financial information to develop forecasts, track spending, prepare budget reviews, and support strategic projects. By partnering with diverse teams, including Operations and General Managers, you will influence business strategies and identify efficiencies that drive results. Your expertise will also help ensure compliance with internal and external reporting standards, contributing to the overall success and operational excellence of Intel's Finance organization.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide regular financial support to business partners by analyzing financial data, producing forecasts, and tracking spending trends.
  • Prepare quarterly Plan of Record (POR) in collaboration with Operations and Finance teams, explaining variances and offering business insights.
  • Execute monthly financial close processes, analyzing variances against POR and delivering detailed explanations.
  • Develop, post, and maintain journal entries in accordance with accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Review and approve purchasing requisitions alongside finance controllers.
  • Support department-wide initiatives, such as process standardization, automation, and workflow improvements.
  • Deliver ad-hoc financial analyses and key performance indicator reviews to influence leadership decision-making.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • 0-1+ years of practical experience in financial, accounting, or business roles with a Bachelor's degree; or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.
  • Advanced expertise in financial analysis, including compiling, validating, and interpreting data using standard enterprise financial systems.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency (both verbal and written).
  • Must have unrestricted - permanent right to work in Costa Rica.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or analytics platforms.
  • Passion for process improvements, automation, and business process management (BPM).
  • Strong ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
