Job Description
 

At Gilead, the Digital Marketing Operations team plays a critical role for digital transformation, a strategic partner to our brands, and focuses on delivering a superior digital experience to our customers in the US.

We are seeking a Associate Director, Digital Operations Lead who will report to the Sr. Director of Digital Strategy & Operations. The role will be responsible for focusing on the HIV Treatment and Franchise brand activities and full scale operational accountability ensuring digital initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively, aligned with global standards, and will work closely with other digital marketing capability leads to achieve this goal.

The Digital Operations Lead within the Digital Strategy & Operations (DSO) team will be responsible for ensuring successful execution of digital initiatives and fostering a culture of digital innovation and agility with respect to the HIV Treatment & overall HIV Franchise. The primary role of the role will be to translate business demands into digital marketing campaigns and solutions that are efficient, effective, and compliant to maximize adoption. She/he will work closely with the HIV marketing teams, aligned to both treatment and treatment and franchise product lines and digital channels to ensure the smooth execution of digital campaigns across a multitude of channels ranging from marketing automation, web, paid media and analytic.  While this is an individual contributor role, this leader shall be a self-starter with a strategic mindset that looks at operations from an omnichannel lens driven by data to ensure campaign effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a campaign manager to HIV Treatment brand leads, working closely with marketing teams and agency partners to understand their digital marketing requirements and translate them into effective digital campaigns and solutions across multiple channels (Marketing Automation, Web, Paid Media & Analytics)

  • Monitor the performance of digital campaigns, provide insights, and recommendations to brand teams and agency partners for optimizing digital marketing campaigns and improving ROI.

  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Operations team to ensure the successful execution of digital campaigns and initiatives across capabilities such as web, paid media and marketing automation.

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital marketing campaigns, from requirements gathering to execution, ensuring that campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan for each digital marketing campaign, ensuring that milestones are tracked and communicated to all stakeholders.

  • Ensure that all digital marketing campaigns are compliant with relevant regulations and guidelines, including data privacy regulations.

  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies with the Digital Marketing Operations team.

  • Foster a culture of digital innovation and agility within the company and promote the use of new digital technologies and channels.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including marketing teams, Digital Marketing Operations teams, and other cross-functional teams.

  • Provide guidance and expertise to marketing teams on marketing tools and technologies, facilitating capability building and continued education/training opportunities for internal marketing stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with global digital standards, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and technology; identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance digital marketing capabilities.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for digital marketing operations best practices, internal processes, and systems related to digital marketing, and ensure continuous improvement in quality of execution.

  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Strategy and Customer Experience team on building out of capabilities/requirements SOPs, rollout, and training.

  • Establish key relationships with US marketing brand teams and digital marketing teams.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years' Experience

OR

Masters' Degree and Eight Years' Experience

OR

Ph.D. and Two Years' Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven record of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on project management, client, and risk management in the US market.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or other graduate degree is a plus.

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or healthcare, with a deep understanding of FDA and other relevant regulations and guidelines, including data privacy regulations specific to the US market.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences, and the ability to manage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget. PMP certification is a plus.

  • Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and technologies, including social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, and mobile marketing, and the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends and technology.

  • Experience with change management and the ability to manage stakeholders through change, with a track record of successfully driving digital transformation initiatives.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet tight deadlines.

  • Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The salary range for this position is: $177,905.00 - $230,230.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
