Job Summary

As a Proposal Manager with the Nidec Aerospace team, you will have the opportunity to apply and develop your expertise to design electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft that will enable the world to sustainably and efficiently get from point A to point B.Job Description
Nidec Aerospace is seeking a Bidding & Proposal Manager who will take ownership of preparing, coordinating, and delivering winning proposals and tenders. This is a hands-on role, working closely with sales, engineering, program, procurement, finance, operations and aftermarket teams to ensure proposals are accurate, complete, competitive, and submitted on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives under tight deadlines.
The individual is responsible for
· Lead the end to end proposal process from RFP/RFI qualification to proposal submission to customer
· Review RFPs/tenders, extract requirements, and create clear action plans following process
· Coordinate contributions from very diverse cross functional teams including engineering, commercial, operations, finance, aftermarket and legal teams
· Write, edit, and format proposal content to ensure clarity and compliance
· Track deadlines and ensure all proposals are submitted on time
· Maintain a database of standard proposal content, templates, and references
· Support sales during clarifications, Q&A, and post-submission follow-ups
· Manage version control and ensure all documents meet company standards
· Capture feedback and lessons learned to improve future submissions
· Support program and sales team on existing projects to evaluate cost impact
Technical Attributes and Experience
· Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
· Strong communication and collaboration abilities
· Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
· Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
· Understanding of CRM (preferably Salesforce.com)
· Experience with bidding tools and process creation is a plus
· Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
Minimum Requirements (proficiency levels aligned to job level)
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· 3–7 years’ experience in proposals, bids, or project coordination.
· Strong writing, editing, and document management skills.
· Experience working with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
· Familiarity with contract terms and pricing basics is a plus.
· Proficiency in business English
