JD Summary – Data Steward & Data Engineer (Pharma Manufacturing Analytics)   This role combines Data Stewardship and Data Engineering to ensure manufacturing data is accurate, well-governed, traceable, and analytics-ready. The person will work at the intersection of manufacturing operations, quality systems, and analytics teams , managing data from systems such as MES, OSI PI/AVEVA, SAP ERP, QMS, Excel/PDF, and batch records. The primary responsibility is to build and maintain reliable data pipelines in the Azure Databricks Lakehouse , while ensuring data quality, governance, lineage, and compliance with GxP regulations. The role acts as a bridge between data producers (manufacturing, labs, quality) and data consumers (analytics, data science, reporting) by translating technical data issues into actionable insights and maintaining structured data documentation. Key focus areas include:   Data governance and stewardship (data dictionaries, lineage, metadata, traceability) Data engineering and pipeline development in Azure Databricks using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake Data quality monitoring and root cause analysis Automation and optimization of data pipelines   Minimum Requirements for the Role Experience: 8 Technical Skills Experience in: Python SQL Azure Databricks Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and data quality frameworks Knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and data lineage Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows Domain Knowledge Understanding of pharma manufacturing systems such as: MES OSI PI / AVEVA SAP ERP QMS / LIMS Batch records / process monitoring systems Knowledge of GxP, data integrity (ALCOA+), and regulatory compliance requirements Soft Skills Ability to translate technical data issues into business insights Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on data accuracy and governance Ability to work across IT, manufacturing, quality, and analytics teams
