About the unit 

As the region's leader in radiation oncology services, Spectrum Health Cancer Center at Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion provides radiation therapy to more patients than any other health care facility in West Michigan. Radiation oncology services are also available at our Holland and Reed City locations. We offer a full range of treatments and state-of-the-art technologies.

The radiation oncology program at Spectrum Health is certified by the American College of Radiation Oncology.

About Outpatient Clinics 

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work 

Under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and in collaboration with other members of the health care team, uses clinical skills to accurately run CT simulators, deliver, verify and record routine courses of treatment. Assumes shift accountability including machine warm-ups. Utilizes independent judgment and problem solving skills in communicating with patients/families and employees. 

This position is resource based and will work as needed, based on needs of the business. We have 3 locations, Lemmen-Holton in downtown Grand Rapids, Susan P. Wheatlake in Reed City and Lakeshore Radiation Oncology Center in Holland.

Qualifications 

  • Required Vocational/Technical a related field; Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field
  • CRT-Radiation Therapist - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist 60 Days required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross required within first 90 days
