Who You Are

As a Senior Automation QA Engineer (mobile), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Android, iOS, and Web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers, to design, build, and integrate automated test cases in our CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise in Appium, PyCharm, and mobile application testing will help us cut manual test time and deliver exceptional products to our users.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Appium and PyCharm for Android and iOS applications.

• Identify and document defects, issues, and enhancements using a bug-tracking system.

• Participate in code reviews and provide valuable feedback to improve code quality.

• Mentor other QA engineers with their automation contributions.

• Work closely with the development team to ensure test coverage and identify areas for improvement.

• Conduct regression testing to validate the stability and performance of applications.

• Monitor and analyze test results to identify trends and patterns, providing insights for continuous improvement.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in automation testing and mobile application development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

• 4+ years of professional experience in automation testing

• Strong experience in testing Android and iOS applications using Appium

• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python

• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, best practices, and tools

• Experience with PyCharm or similar IDEs for test automation

• Knowledge of mobile application development and deployment processes

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other automation testing frameworks and tools

• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies

• Understanding of cloud-based testing platforms and services

• Strong knowledge of mobile app design guidelines and usability standards
