Job Description Summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout the state of South Carolina.

The Billing Analyst collaborates with the Cash Application Analyst to maintain payment processing systems. Ensure compliance with revenue cycle regulations and company policies.

Job Description

Collaborates with the Cash Application Analyst to maintain payment processing systems. Ensure compliance with revenue cycle regulations and company policies. Review & analyze electronic Remittance data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and company policies. Conduct ERA/EFT searches; contact Payors/ Clearinghouses re: missing ERA’s, checks, etc. Collaborate with IS on payment posting issues/ barriers. Participate in multidisciplinary teams.

Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent Work Experience: 5 years for support or 0-2 years for professional
