The Adobe Document Cloud team is seeking a highly motivated engineering leader and problem solver to join and lead a high caliber, fast-paced team working on Acrobat on the Web. The engineering leader is encouraged to have extensive experience building responsive, low latency, high-performance web applications and distributed systems, as well as managing highly skilled teams.

What you will do:

• Manage a highly skilled team of engineers with a strong focus on user experience and workflows.
• Work together with product management, architects, and other engineering teams in Document Cloud and Adobe to develop the team's technical vision and road map.
• Partner with Product Management and Build to lead feature execution across engineering fields to deliver great experiences.
• Lead the build, development, and testing of fluid, responsive, secure, large-scale web applications.
• Define and lead the most effective software development/engineering and operational methods for the team.
• Explore new open-source technologies, adopt, and contribute back to open-source.
• Mentor people, helping them grow, and develop their careers.
• Provide oversight, accountability, and leadership for technical decisions with a bias for action.
• Be proficient in emerging industry technologies and trends and communicate that knowledge to the team and use it to influence product direction.

Must have skills:

• B. Tech./B.S/B.E. in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
• Min. 10+ years of software engineering experience building front-end & server/web service applications with experience in managing people and engineering projects.
• Experience in building and development of web applications/distributed systems
• Strong hands-on experience in front-end technologies and coding skills in HTML, JS, React etc.
• Good to have experience on Java, Python or any other server-side programming languages.
• Has breadth of knowledge across the stack of web technologies – Cloud Computing, HTML/JS, CDN, Dev tools, React, Angular, PWA, GraphQL, REST, Micro-services, Redis Cache, messaging systems, data stores such as HBase, managed SQL DB, etc.
• Goes above and beyond to build high-quality, stable products that customers enjoy using
• Brings people together across teams to successfully collaborate on innovative solutions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred skills:

• Min 2+ years as an Engineering Manager or an Architect
• Experience with technical operations and CI/CD
• Experience with git, Command line tools
• Experience with monitoring systems like Splunk, NewRelic, DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
