SYSTEM-/INTEGRATION TESTER – RAILWAY SYSTEMS (F/M/X)

Hitachi Rail in Austria is a full system provider and global supplier of route and train control technology and traffic management systems (e.g. Electronic interlockings, Field elements, Operation Control Centers and dispatching systems, European Train Control System (ETCS)).

As part of the route control product development team, you are responsible for ensuring a high quality and secure Cloud platform for our next generation digital interlocking system. Together with our Tester, DevOps and Security experts you are shaping the Test Strategy, Design, Execution with automation-first leveraging state-of-the-art cloud technologies and testing tools.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Creation of software test case specifications based on requirements.

• Successful System-/Integration test execution in a physical lab environment and emulated environment to deliver a software product in committed time and budget.

• Creation of automated test scripts for regression testing

• Documentation of defects and change request in a ticket system (Jira)

• Close collaboration with test management, project management, development, validation and safety

YOUR PROFILE

• You have a technical degree (HTL/TU/FH) in Informatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

• A minimum of 3 years proven working experience in Software System and Integration Testing in an industrial sector like IT, automotive, telecom or traffic control

• ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation level – Certificate is an advantage

• Experience with CENELEC standards is a plus

• Competitive mindset, strong desire to “win” paired with a great team spirit

• Excellent communication in English language, German language beneficial

• The salary for this position starts at € 50.000 gross p.a. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification.
