About the role:

Solenis is seeking an experienced and hands-on Equipment Service Engineer to support our customers across ANZ.  You'll lead all aspects of customer field equipment—from installation and commissioning to maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades—ensuring reliable performance, exceptional customer service, and successful project delivery.

You will work closely with commercial teams, customers, suppliers, and contractors to deliver equipment projects that support customer growth, compliance, and operational excellence.

You will be responsible for:

Equipment Projects & Installation

  • Source equipment at competitive pricing while ensuring compliance with Solenis purchasing policies.
  • Manage and execute customer equipment projects, including business continuity, growth, and compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors involved in equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Install, commission, and maintain monitoring and control equipment at customer sites.
  • Conduct equipment field trials and support new technology implementations.

Equipment Maintenance & Reliability

  • Maintain Solenis equipment on customer sites to meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues through effective fault-finding and problem-solving.
  • Perform equipment inspections, audits, calibrations, and preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensure equipment is installed and operating safely and correctly.

Technical Support

  • Develop and maintain expertise across Solenis equipment offerings, including:
    • Biocide systems
    • Polymer Dosing Equipment
    • Dosing Pumps
    • Tanks and associated systems
  • Deliver equipment training to Solenis commercial teams and customers.
  • Identify equipment-related opportunities and improvement initiatives at customer sites.

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience with instrumentation, mechanical installation, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capabilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and hazard identification.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Previous experience working remotely and directly on customer sites.
  • Strong computer literacy and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Current Australian Driver's License.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Australia.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree highly regarded.
  • Trade qualification also considered.
  • Restricted Electrical License is advantageous.
  • Experience within the Paper, Pulp, Water Treatment, Chemical Processing, or related industrial sectors is highly desirable.
