In this position, you will report to the Quality Manager and work on landing gear product root cause investigations, creating standard work, and perform data analysis for the quality clinic department. As the Engineering Co-op Student, you also will interface with all levels of organizations and report activities that are directly related to the development of the overall Quality in the site.

 

What You Will Do

  • Working Knowledge in CAD Software and GD&T

  • Facilitate cross-functional investigations to determine root causes, establish corrective actions and drive to closure on a variety of technical and process issues.

  • Help support data mining and analysis to advise business on quality performance.

  • Create and develop standard work documents, quality alerts for the department.

  • Perform other duties and engage in projects as assigned by management.

  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Events.

 

 

Qualifications We Require

 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

  • Proficiency in CAD software such as CATIA.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all MS Office applications.

  • The successful candidate must meet all requirements under International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) & Controlled Goods Directorate (CGD) and be eligible to work in Canada.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Previous ERP experience (SAP preferred).

  • Experience in Python and or Microsoft VBA macro

  • Good understanding of Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and Lean Techniques.
