We are looking for a highly motivated student to join our team from May to August of 2026!

Our Summer Intern Program is designed to support the career development of students and recent graduates through one-on-one mentoring, peer and experiential learning, internal training programs, and more. We are currently accepting applications for undergraduate and master’s-level students, as well as recent graduates, who are seeking an opportunity to work in the investment management space. 

The Investment Strategy team enables IMCO’s Front Office investment programs (Public Equities, Fixed Income, Real Estate. Global Infrastructure, Global Credit, and Private Equity) to deliver on their strategy. Specifically, the team supports the execution of the investment vision, strategy, mandate, and operating models across the Front Office.   

Responsibilities include:  

  • Supporting Front Office investment teams with annual strategy reviews and other initiatives that help operationalize investment decisions 
  • Collaborating with the Sustainable Investing and Office of the Chief Investment Officer (“OCIO”) teams on strategic initiatives and projects 
  • Supporting investment committee governance activities, including preparing and distributing meeting materials and updating governance documents  
  • Collaborate with OCIO and Front Office investment teams to track and report on IMCO’s investment pipeline and transaction history
  • Coordinating, producing, and analyzing communications, including status reports, presentations, and business cases  
  • Supporting other initiatives and ad hoc activities, as required  

What do you need to succeed?  

  • Post-secondary program in business, finance, accounting, math, science, or engineering   
  • Interest in the investment industry with a willingness to learn   
  • A team player with a positive attitude who can contribute both in a team environment and work independently  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Exhibit a high degree of confidentiality and use of discretion, ethics and tact with sensitive information  
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage shifting priorities and competing timelines while maintaining attention to detail   
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
