Position Summary

The Executive Director, Shared Services and Corporate Segment Consolidation is a senior FP&A leader responsible for driving financial reporting, analysis and overall financial planning and performance management of the company’s Corporate Segment, which includes all Shared Service functions (e.g., HR, IT, Clinical, Finance, etc.). The candidate will be accountable for leading short- and long-term financial planning including monthly close, quarterly forecasting, multiyear financial projections and annual budgeting across the Shared Services functions and Corporate segment. This individual serves as a primary finance partner to the VP of Shared Services FP&A and all Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members, owning the consolidated financial reports, analysis, and insights for the Corporate segment to help inform strategic decisions, drive operating results, enhance financial performance and shape how performance is communicated to the CFO, ELT, and Board of Directors.

The position leads end-to-end consolidations, capital planning, and the development of executive-level financial narratives prepared for discussion in strategic operating forums, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, Board meetings, and annual operating plan deep dives. The successful candidate will combine deep technical FP&A expertise and the professional judgment to translate complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights required to influence executive stakeholders in the achievement of financial commitments.

Major Responsibilities

1. FP&A Leadership — Shared Services & Corporate Segment

  • Own the full FP&A cycle (annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, monthly close and variance analysis, long-range plan) for Enterprise Shared Services and the Corporate segment.
  • Partner with functional finance leaders across the organization to build defensible cost plans, identify productivity opportunities, and manage the cost base.
  • Develop and maintain robust cost allocation methodologies and reporting between the Corporate segment and operating segments, ensuring transparency, understanding and accuracy in segment reporting.

2. Enterprise Consolidations & Reporting

  • Lead enterprise-wide consolidation of forecasts, plans, and actuals across shared services costs, ensuring data integrity, timeliness, and a single source of truth for executive reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement with the use of AI in consolidation systems, processes, and controls; partner with Accounting, IT, and segment FP&A teams to streamline data flows and reduce cycle time.

  • Reconcile consolidated results against prior forecasts, plans, and prior year performance delivered through clear variance bridges and root-cause analysis, supported by crisp, analysis driven insights and recommendations.

3. Capital Planning

  • Lead the capital planning process for the Corporate Segment, including prioritization, governance, business case development, and capital allocation across the functions.
  • Develop business cases, ROI/NPV analyses, and post-investment reviews for major capital investments; ensure alignment with strategic priorities, financial guardrails, and expected return benefits.
  • Track capital deployment against plan and report variances to the CFO and ELT.

4. Risks & Opportunities Management

  • Maintain a rolling view of enterprise risks and opportunities, quantifying upside and downside scenarios versus plan and forecast.
  • Partner with functional and segment FP&A leaders to proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities, including development of mitigation and performance improvement plans.

5. Team & Process Leadership

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing FP&A team, including direct managers and senior analysts; set clear performance expectations and invest in talent development.
  • Champion process standardization, automation, and analytics modernization across FP&A; partner with the Finance Optimization and IT teams on system migrations and enhancements as well as adoption of new tools (e.g., EPM/CPM platforms, BI tools).
  • Promote a culture of critical thinking, curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and constructive challenge.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance experience, including 5+ years leading and developing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting CFO, ELT, and Board-level audiences at a large, complex enterprise (multi-segment, multi-billion-dollar revenue preferred).
  • Deep expertise in enterprise consolidations, planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Strong command of capital planning, business case development, and ROI/NPV analytics.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear, executive-ready narratives and presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency with EPM/CPM platforms (e.g., Hyperion/HFM, OneStream, Anaplan, SAP BPC) and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA.
  • Experience in a public company environment with exposure to external reporting and investor relations cadence.
  • Prior experience leading shared services or corporate-segment finance.
