Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing is seeking a Senior Data Management Technical Lead to join Supply Chain Enterprise Data Management (SCEDM) team in Seattle, WA; Hazelwood, MO; or Plano, TX supporting the Supply Chain Enterprise Data Management team.

This role is a deep SAP Technical Lead and a successful candidate will need to show excellent technical leadership skill as this position will focus on working directly with the global distributed teams of architects, functional analysts, developers and business to drive data management strategy for master data and data conversion.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with the Supply Chain Enterprise Data Management (SCEDM) team members to generating ideas and improve our organization’s product maturity, service architecture and solution delivery
  • Provide overall technical leadership to the SCEDM resources on the project executions ensuring schedules are kept and issues are resolved for master data implementation and data conversion
  • Responsible for tactical implementation of organizations data conversion service architecture framework; create, update and execute SCEDM Data Conversion strategy working with data owners and product teams
  • Responsible for the initial engagement with project team; collaborate with business users to lay out the data migration process and associated cutover activities; create/manage data conversion cut over plan for project test/load cycles
  • Gain understanding of the projects needs from SAP MDG (Master Data Governance), Data Quality and Data Conversion SOW; Develop initial projections of SAP Data Conversion scope, volume, project timeline and create estimates and resource requirements for data conversion
  • Oversee gathering and data-mapping sessions and with key stakeholders and data owners across multiple projects
  • Design and oversee build of SAP load programs using SAP standard load programs
  • Oversee preload and post load validations during data loads; Troubleshoot extract, transform, and/or load issues
  • Resolve cross product team data conflicts and priorities
  • Work with stakeholders during mock execution to validate the data and ensure transform logic is accurate
  • Mentor data conversion team members in the SAP data conversion tool suite
  • Evolve the master data implementation strategy and data conversion framework ensuring we are leveraging reusable components to drive service costs down for future projects and promote the industry best practices

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in technical leadership
  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Management role creating, processing, and delivering data
  • 5+ years of experience as architect on SAP MDG solutions
  • 5+ years of experience have using SAP HANA / ERP Platform

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • SAP BODS Certification
  • SAP HANA Certification
  • Technical Bachelor's degree or Master’s Degree
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Excellent understanding of the SAP S/4HANA & MDG data models
  • Experience with SAP Activate Methodology
  • Experience in Data Management Principles and Master Data
  • Experience applying end to end flow of Data conversion with Syniti’s DSP/ADM tool suite
  • Expertise in technical solution analysis and definition in large complex SAP solution landscape
  • Experience influencing and collaborating at all levels of the organization including business and IT
  • Experience with ETL tools

Typical Education/Experience: 

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).
