JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College/Unit of Student Engagement is seeking applicants for part-time job of Student Engagement Programming Undergraduate Student Worker.
Plan and execute Welcome Week events for the first two weeks of the fall and spring semester. This includes morning, common hour, and evening events.
Assist with leading events and ensuring understanding of activities.
Provide support and leadership organizing and implementing co-curricular opportunities for our diverse student community such as the Nittany Excellence Gala, De-Stress Fest, and leadership workshops.
Assist with leading Office of Student Engagement workers during events and ensuring their understanding of activities.
Aid in event marketing, social media, the weekly newsletter and developing a communication plan.
Other duties are based on the responsibilities of evolving office needs.
The successful candidate must be a current/incoming Penn State Harrisburg undergraduate student in good disciplinary standing with the University.
The candidate should be a team player, self-starter who demonstrates preemptive thinking, pays extreme attention to detail, has excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), exhibits strong organizational skills, and possesses a proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and management of social media platforms.
Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $15.00hr
