About the Role

In this dynamic position, you'll play a key role- from concept to execution- in driving new initiatives for our Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Qualified Electronics Signatures (QES) and Bank Account Verification (BAV) solutions. At Fourthline we implement cloud-agnostic SaaS solutions, and your mission will be to drive automation, foster innovation and deliver solutions that resonate with our business partner’s needs by advancing our proprietary, market-leading technological capabilities. Your leadership will ensure that our engineering teams—comprising a range of engineers from Engineer I to Staff+ level—excel in a collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

Build, mentor and retain our high-performing, cross-functional (BE & QA) engineering teams based in Barcelona. Think recruitment, 1-1’s, and enabling your team to excel by nurturing an environment of growth, innovation and productivity.

Manage all phases of the development lifecycle from design to post deployment and take accountability for timely and efficient delivery of robust, scalable, and secure solutions, working closely with your PM counterpart.

Within the product group, act as a key point for system design and architecture by facilitating technical topics with an understanding of our enterprise architecture and vision.

Take responsibility for Engineering KPI’s and OKR’s and monitor and deliver results on topics that move Fourthline forward.

Contribute, along with other EMs, to the continuous improvement of our engineering practices, tooling and culture.

Encourage active collaboration between engineers, PMs and other EMs to ensure a cohesive working culture and fully aligned solutions.

Hold your team - and yourself - to high professional and engineering standards while meeting key OKRs.

 

What We Are Looking For

3+ years of experience in managing 6-12 direct reports.

Proven experience with large-scale SaaS platforms, with a deep understanding of cloud-native architectures and solutions.

Adept at managing and growing software engineering teams, with a history of successful project delivery in a product development environment.

Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and discuss product and commercial aspects clearly.

Practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and an informed, pragmatic approach to project management.

Skilled at motivating others, promoting collaboration and teamwork, and contributing to a positive, efficient organizational culture.

Ability to work on-site at our fantastic office in Barcelona at least 3 days a week as per our Hybrid Working Policy.
