Partnering with transmission rebuilders, our R&D teams identify failing OEM parts and design components to repair or enhance automatic transmissions, meeting a wide range of performance and warranty needs. 

What You'll Do

The Control System Engineer is responsible for the design, development, testing, and continuous production support of control systems for end-of-line test equipment for hydraulic control solenoids, mechanical and electromechanical products. The engineer will collaborate with a cross-functional team both on site and remotely to ensure that all products meet safety, performance, and efficiency standards.

  • Design, develop, analyze, test, and verify control systems operating in a LabView environment.

  • Oversee the fabrication and procurement of components and systems.

  • Generate schematics, logic diagrams, relative to the design, and theory of operation of developed control systems

  • Integration and simulation of control systems and testing capabilities.

  • Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) systems.

  • Perform initial product acceptance testing and analyze test data to identify and address key product failures.

  • Develop statistical analysis programs and apply that methodology to determine failure modes and implement continuous improvements for test capabilities and yield.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced experience and proficiency in programming with LabView including machine control, data acquisition and analysis.

  • In-depth understanding of control system design techniques.

  • Strong understanding of Statistical Process Controls and related techniques.

  • Familiarity with control panel design, panel wiring, and field wiring diagrams.

  • Lean practices knowledge (Green-belt preferred).

  • Electronics expertise, including troubleshooting to component level and understanding of analog and digital circuitry and circuit design.

  • Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers).

  • Experience with microcontroller platforms (e.g., Arduino) and familiarity with PLC ladder logic.

  • Knowledge of communication protocols (Serial, SPI, I2C, GPIB, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Ethernet, TCP/IP).
