This is an exciting time to join our expanding team spearheading the design, supply, installation and commissioning of our cutting-edge Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) facility, strategically located near the picturesque holiday destination of Exmouth, Western Australia.

DARC is a global network of three next-generation ground sensors, based in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Together, they will deliver a unique 24/7 all-weather capability, tracking objects in geosynchronous orbit - a testament to Northrop Grumman’s commitment to enhancing security and safety in deep space on a global scale.

Your Role

Join our dynamic team as an EHS Advisor and become an essential partner in driving a culture of safety and sustainability at NGA. As an EHS Business Partner, you will provide comprehensive support, helping our teams understand, implement, and achieve the proactive goals set in the NGA Safety, Health and Wellbeing, Environment, and Sustainability Strategy. Your responsibilities will include implementing the NGA Work Health, Safety, and Environment Management Plan, managing safety management and training documentation, planning and conducting inductions, and supporting program delivery activities through field planning and verification.

You will also play a key role in hazardous chemical management, improving our environment, health, and safety management system documents, and providing valuable guidance on EHS policies, procedures, objectives, and standards. Your expertise will be crucial in program management meetings, ensuring that EHS considerations are always a priority. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is dedicated to promoting a culture of safety and sustainability through strong stakeholder engagement.

About You
As an experienced EHS professional, you will bring a wealth of knowledge and passion for ensuring excellence in environment, health, and safety. You have demonstrated experience in managing incident investigations and hold a Lead Auditor Certificate in ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or ISO 9001. Your extensive experience in hazard and risk management equips you with the skills needed to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions proactively. Your exceptional oral and written communication skills, particularly in report writing, enable you to clearly articulate complex EHS issues to a variety of stakeholders.

Your strong stakeholder engagement skills are essential, allowing you to collaborate effectively, build strong relationships, and drive a culture of safety across the organisation. You are adept at influencing and guiding teams, ensuring that EHS considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations. Furthermore, your experience working in remote areas and high-risk environments is critical, providing you with the resilience and adaptability required to succeed in challenging conditions.
