Who We Are:

We are opening a brand-new distribution center at Highway 404 and Green Lane in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This state-of-the-art 1.2 million-square-foot, automated, multi-temperature facility will support Loblaw’s world-class distribution network. We are seeking enthusiastic distribution operations candidates to join our team and support the launch and ongoing operation of this new facility.

What you will do

  • Maintaining and updating required inventory levels for goods, product, and materials
  • Performs all daily activities necessary to maintain effective inventory management procedures
  • Reconciles inventories to book records and make adjustments when necessary
  • Plans and implements a recoup program to ensure all damaged/defective product is accounted for and properly handled by either donating, dumping, salvaging or returning to stock
  • Maintains records to accurately track recouped product and return saleable product to stock
  • Conduct search to locate products within the system, as necessary
  • Adjust records when there are discrepancies between actual product and records
  • Ensures corrective measures to prevent discrepancies
  • Assists in preparing analysis of adjustments activities report 
  • Researches to reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Responds timely to all email requests.
  • Recommends a program to audit returns and move returned product to its proper location
  • Works with Operations in regards to any issues that may arise
  • Processes documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction
  • Performs weekly cycle counts and adjusts systems as necessary
  • Maintains accurate inventory records to help facilities shortage detection
  • Maintains confidentiality of inventory records to authorized personnel
  • Develop all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments
  • Complete and issue all necessary records and reports including filing invoices and maintaining customer records in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Coordinates Recall validation
  • Updates Share Point File for IC Scorecard
  • Performs duties as instructed by management

What you will need:

  • Must be able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction
  • Flexible to work on weekends and night
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • At least 1 year experience in similar position
  • Computer applications experience using MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and learn on the job
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Strong math and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
