Job Description Summary
In this role you will lead the deployment team responsible for digital transformation in our manufacturing and repair shops. This position will be responsible for creating strong working relationships and influence for both DT and functional partners across multiple value streams. Responsible for overall deployment strategy across GSC products, including planning, scope, and schedule for future deployments. Manage, coordinate, and/or coach site DT project managers, regional deployment leaders, support team, and product managers to ensure successful delivery of deployment activities and ensure successful communication between leadership, shops, and DT teams.

Roles & Responsibilities
- People leader role responsible for managing regional deployment leaders and mentoring/coaching site DT project managers, product managers, developers, and support team
- Identifies the customer need and larger business objectives critical for new deployments; create strategic roadmap & tactical schedule, work with customers/stakeholders to prioritize needs, and translate gaps, challenges, & enhancements to product teams to align development strategy with deployment strategy
- Articulate what success looks like for a deployment and rallies team to turn that vision into a reality
- Establish standard, global communication strategy and feedback loops for user base to receive feedback, understand challenges/defects/incidents, and influence product development roadmap to reduce reoccurring issues and user pain points
- Align stakeholders around the deployment strategy; provide insight to stakeholders on product capabilities, risks, and mitigation plans
- Sits at the intersection of business need, technology, and user experience
- Empowers the deployment team and supporting DT teams to make their own decisions; educate by going to Gemba or by developing remote Gemba experiences
- Establish and operationalize a deployment framework that encourages innovation, regional ownership, standard work
- Coordinate and influence work across multiple DT and functional teams to deliver on critical outcomes
- Partner with business & IT teams to recommend best practices to improve product & processes
- Uses high level of judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, program management, manufacturing & technology. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders and challenge the status quo. Able to offer innovative solutions to problems outset of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations. Uses network of sources both internal and external of own function to help arrive at best decision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, technology, information systems, or information technology
- Minimum 10+ years of professional experience along with established leadership credentials. Requires significant experience in Digital Technology, Supply Chain/Manufacturing, and Technical Product Management, leading cross functional, global initiatives
- Strong program management, organizational skills
- GE/GEV Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
Desired Characteristics
- Proven experience of working with executive level stakeholders to define overall DT strategy and managing large portfolio of projects
- Track record of driving DT innovation and technology-driving business outcomes
- Experience managing budgets including annual budgets and large-scale projects
- Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
- Excellent influencing, interpersonal, and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization
- Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Experience working with others on a global basis
- Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others
- Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, creates processes with customer viewpoint and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills – communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles, and develops plan to resolve, create actionable strategies, and operational plans

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $154,800.00 and $258,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
