YOUR ROLE:

Assemble, test and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical subassemblies to exacting specifications and tolerances following established manufacturing, quality, and safety processes and procedures as part of a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

 

DUTIES:

  • Knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicle including testing, diagnosis, HVAC service, hydraulic, brakes, CAN testing and repair of electronic systems and modules
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools and materials
  • Build mechanical and electrical assemblies using blueprints, drawings, 3d CAD, reading electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. 
  • Executes test procedures (with the guidance of the engineering team) including owning material readiness, managing bill of materials, test setup, data collection, and publishing of final results by compiling documents and test data into various documentation formats
  • Support creation of technical publications for all service manuals (systems overview, parts, repair, labor, electrical, quality etc.)
  • Additionally, this person will play a significant role in the areas of Failure Analysis, First Pass yield, and MRB review
  • Electrical support - harness and cable builds, debugging, and PCB board rework
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of extensive skill and experience using diagnostic scan tools, following diagnostics, multimeters, and operating scopes
  • Ability to run version controlled test scripts or software

 

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software engineering components and an understanding of how they interact
  • Multi-disciplined experience working in Manufacturing environment with Controls and Instrumentation, conducting mechanical inspection of tools and related machines and performing equipment maintenance
  • Experience working in Manufacturing setting where quality is very important
  • Demonstrated experience working with and around power tools, where safety is of utmost concern. Must be able to use sound judgment and good decision-making in the use of such tools
  • Ability to decipher engineering drawings and/or prints
  • Demonstrated experience doing precision assembly
  • Experience with 3D Printer, Laser Welder, Laser Cutter, Epoxy dispensing machine, a plus
  • Automotive assembly and EV battery pack experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to give and receive clear and concise verbal and written directives
  • A learning mindset including an open mind to critical feedback
  • Enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity

Schedule: 

  • Monday - Friday
  • 8 am - 4:30 pm 

Education:

  • HS or greater; some college or tech school, preferred
