Job Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of duties including receiving incoming materials, inspections of goods and materials, verification of items against the shipment records, preparation of materials for shipment, tracking and logging of materials, adhering to shipping procedures, the gathering and packing of items for shipment according to specifications, and the applicable transportation method for transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.

Work Model

This is a full-time position located at our El Segundo, CA location, which requires 100% onsite work.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Processing SAP orders and using tracking software for shipping and receiving accountability.
  • Unloading trucks and ensure packages are logged if damaged.
  • Packaging of items using the proper materials to ensure they are safe and secure during shipping.
  • Assists employees with tracking information of their shipments, tracking of incoming packages, and answering questions concerning shipping and receiving.
  • Receives and processes packages including packages with chemicals and hazardous materials.
  • Coordinates outgoing & incoming shipments using standardized methods, procedures, and effectiveness.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Shipping & Receiving Specialist II:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of relevant shipping/receiving policies and procedures
  • Computer experience 

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Shipping & Receiving Specialist III include:

  • Six or more years of relevant experience

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • SAP experience
  • Package tracking software experience
  • Prior shipping experience including: FedEx, UPS, Freight couriers, foam machines, package wrap machine 
  • Forklift certification
  • Safety and hazardous materials training

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business.  The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below.  Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
