• This role is responsible to have deep understanding of the product management process and implementation on Asia aiming to provide business requirement on simplification to improve operational efficiency for new product launch and ongoing product maintenance. The scope include the end of to end PDP process simplification from operational perspective.

Preferred skills

• Good knowledge of product implementation and thorough understanding of product management process in the financial/insurance industry
• Strong project management skills, consulting skills and detail-oriented mindset
• Knowledge of product development and management process and risk management tools
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong negotiation skills
• Supervisory skill on managing a small team if needed

Qualifications

• Degree holder in business or related discipline
• Certification in Project Management (example PMP, Six Sigma Green belt), or proven track record in managing projects end to end successfully
• Minimum 10 years of prior working experience in the insurance or related industries, preferably in product management or business management/operations
• Self moviated and with minimal supervision required and preferably familar with product development process experience

Responsibilities

• Review and deep dive into the local BU Product Development Process (PDP) for Sun Life Asia and accountable for recommending effective ways of execution on PDP on time without sacrifice on quality and make appropriate recommendations to BU and Asia Peer Review team on PDP Operating Guideline which aim to achieve simplifications and efficiency improvement.
• Identify pain points and review each step in the time motion of the product development cycle to identify and evaluate potential changes and with relevant functions.
• Work closely and collaborate with other team members under Regional Office in respect of the overall transformation change. On solution identification, the person will need to drive discussions on business requirements.
• Monitor and measure the improvement of process change on product implementation of products and end of end PDP.
