As a Cloud Systems Engineer III, you will drive the stability and sustainability of cloud-based networks and software systems that support scalable and reliable operations. You will perform system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for complex systems. This role creates proactive engineering mechanisms that enable the team to manage the health and performance of distributed virtual machines and cloud-based infrastructure.
You will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications. You will utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement within existing frameworks, tools, and processes, while addressing system functionality, performance, and configuration issues.
This position operates within a modern multi-cloud environment and supports enterprise initiatives focused on Zero Trust Architecture, cloud modernization, and migration from legacy or on-premise systems to cloud-native platforms across providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Microsoft Azure.
The proposed salary range for this position is $71,828-$91,828. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
