Job Description

Join our team, focusing on our suite of legal research products, including Westlaw, Practical Law, CLEAR, and other related platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality assurance and a deep understanding of Release Management methodologies with an emphasis on scalability and DevOps and Agile methodologies. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our products can handle expected user loads, data volume, and usage patterns without compromising performance.

About the role:

In this opportunity as Associate Lead Release Engineer, you are a fit for this position if your background includes:

  • Project management skills with knowledge of presentation and Leadership skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytics skills & Team and time management skills.
  • Forward Plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio.
  • Building the Release Calendar in working closely with the teams from different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases.
  • Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and that they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications.
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations.

About you:

You're a fit for the role of Associate Lead Release Engineer if your background includes:

  • Around 6-7 years of Release Management/Project management experience in IT.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines.
  • Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience in the use of Application Release Automation tools.
  • Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating system.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews.
  • Willingness to work in 24x7x365 shifts on rotation basis or fixed US/UK shifts.
  • Have a software-centric mindset.
  • Effective communicator.
