Salary: £50,000 - £56,000 basic annual salary + £7,000 Cash4Cars Allowance

Based: Remote

Permanent: 37.5 hours a week Monday - Friday

The Opportunity/Role 📢

Reporting to the Building & Industrial Sales Director, the Area Account Manager is responsible for creating demand for our Building & Industrial product portfolio and system solutions by ensuring stocking of Aliaxis products in targeted Distributor and Merchant locations within their defined area. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage regional relationships with Tier 3 and select Tier 2 contractors, keeping informed of project progress and customer purchase criteria

  • Engage and develop relationships with commercial distributors, contractors and construction projects to uncover opportunities both at early and late stage of build

  • Create and maintain a project pipeline providing future sales for the geographical area within market sectors outlined in the sales strategy for Building and Industrial 

  • Secure project specifications whilst optimising profitable solutions

  • Engage with Technical Specification Consultants and Major Accounts Managers to coordinate activity both incoming from specified projects ready to transact, and from downstream with reactive opportunities to break existing specifications. 
     

Patch Covering Oxford to Colchester.

Applicants will be provided with an additional overview document of our proposed go-to-market strategy, focus areas and relationships between roles.

Requirements:

  • Experience in selling products and solutions working for a manufacturer or distributor within the construction industry

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to deliver product training confidently  

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and turn these into orders in line with expectations. 

  • Experience building solid relationships with Key merchants and Distributors, Contractors within the region
