Job Summary:
The Paralegal provides administrative and legal support to the Legal Department by assisting with the review, drafting, and coordination of responses to regulatory agencies, discovery responses in a variety of litigated cases, including employment claims, support and over-sight of ad-loc legal projects, and regulatory filings. This position works under the supervision of a licensed attorney or senior legal staff and ensures efficient handling of routine legal processes and document workflows.

Job Responsibilities:
•    Assist in drafting basic legal documents, contract templates, and correspondence
•    Support company litigation management by maintaining files and compiling documentation related to workers’ compensation and other legal matters.
•    Coordinate with internal teams to obtain documentation needed for legal responses to discovery requests or in response to regulatory agency requests (e.g., payroll, injury reports, safety documentation).
•    Coordinate and respond to requests made during administrative proceedings with direction and over-sight from attorneys.
•    Help maintain legal department databases and filing systems (both digital and physical).
•    Assist in compiling information for regulatory filings and renewals under attorney guidance.
•    Collaborate with other departments on contract intake, signature processes, and archiving.
•    Support discovery response efforts by organizing and tracking requests and compiling required documentation.
•    Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing deadlines, and preparing summaries or reports for internal use.
•    Provide legal support to attorneys and senior paralegals on special projects as assigned.
•    Assisting attorneys in conducting compliance audits for various areas of the law.
•    This role will focus on supporting the company’s employment law specialist, but also perform litigation support and other paralegal needs for other attorneys in the department


Education:
•    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•    Paralegal Certification from an accredited institution required (or equivalent experience in a legal setting).


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•    2–4 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (corporate legal department or law firm setting preferred).
•    Experience supporting litigation, particularly employment-related claims and federal litigation, is a plus.
•    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
•    Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
•    Capacity to manage multiple time-sensitive projects from a variety of stake-holders. 
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with legal management software, such as Ascent and DocuSign

•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to typical risks of injury in an office environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
•    None. This is an individual contributor role that works under the supervision of a Senior Paralegal or Counsel.


Safety Requirements:
•    Follows all departmental and company safety policies and programs.


Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
•     Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
