The Opportunity

This position works remotely in Ontario in the Point of Care division. We’re empowering smarter medical and economic decision making to help transform the way people manage their health at all stages of life. Every day, more than 10 million tests are run on Abbott’s diagnostics instruments, providing lab results for millions of people.

Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics and toxicology. In this role you will report to the Country Manager and will help build the Abbott Point of Care, Canada, business with large key targeted accounts.

As the Implementation Manager, you’ll have the chance to Provide effective and efficient project management of product implementation, support Sales with pre close implementation-based activities to expand sales of company’s portfolio of products in existing accounts and develop new business. Engage with key personnel to restructure customer processes to better facilitate patient care through the use of company’s products.

What You’ll Do

  • Subject matter expert for implementation of point of care testing (clinical and IT) and able to articulate benefits and solutions for point of care testing across all levels within the hospital
  • Improve implementation efficiencies resulting in decreased implementation timelines of large
  • volume, high priority and/or highly complex implementations.
  • Ensure all administrative tasks are completed promptly and accurately.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders within accounts.
  • Develop and execute implementation strategies; utilize available resources effectively, lead and
  • or participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Post – sales wellness check programs for customers and post-sales offerings for customers
  • Mentor/train new staff; serve as lead Implementation personnel and peer leader within the
  • commercial organization;
  • Implementation subject matter expert support to assist sales executives in closing business in Hospital segment
  • Understands and comply with all applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Manage implementation team and plan and manage implementation schedules and ongoing implementations – project plan development and deployment for team
  • Responsible for implementation and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry
  • 5+ years in project management
  • Ability to maintain consistent momentum with multiple products and across multiple implementation assignments.
  • Ability to manage large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and process owners.
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications.
  • Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to provide solutions and contingency plans through the comprehensive review
  • of alternatives.
  • Ability to present material to Executive-level management.
