Job Requirements:

The Manufacturing Operator I position is responsible for set-up of all machinery on shop floor.  Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating lines in compliance with the companies TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to set-up and change over production machinery including die set-up and material changes.

  • Responsible for continuous operation of machinery in order to eliminate any unnecessary downtime.

  • Able to operate all presses and/or CDCH coating operations consisting of prep, coating, sheet separating, and de-framing of gaskets while also maintaining rate that is part specific.

  • Able to troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards.

  • Responsible to make sure each machine is stocked with material throughout the shift.

  • Assist tooling personnel in correcting any potential issues with a die.

  • Able to provide light maintenance on machines or a die including but not limited to oiling and greasing.

  • Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS transactions accurately and timely.

  • Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.

  • Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times.

  • Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.

Other:

  • Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.

  • Must be able to work extended hours when required.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Manufacturing experience a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Highly motivated.

  • Strong time management and priorities management skills.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.  BPCS experience a plus.

  • Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.

  • Metrics driven.
