WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): 

The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program, students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2025 Summer Internship program will run from May 28, 2025, through August 1, 2025. 

The Marketing Programs Intern will work with the Marketing team and several other teams within Training Services on several key projects. The projects will include performing marketing research on identified market segments in order to support the marketing team on developing recommendations and plans to support sales into the identified segments. The individual will conduct a variety of research and data analytics for insights for targeted industries. The intern may perform other administrative projects as identified by the marketing team including the development of a Grant process to support the administrative needs to support the delivery of training to execute on the commitments of these grants.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities): 

  • May support unit with research projects. Understanding of Marketing
  • Collaborate on project implementation, evaluation multiple options and perspectives and exposure to DE&I best practices and compliance with Red Cross brand and diversity guidelines
  • Understand nonprofit environment and exposure
  • Campaign development. Analyze data, presents facts and recommends solutions.
  • Marketing communications.
  • Receive guidance, training and mentoring from staff in planning and carrying out activities and assignments.
  • Perform unit-specific responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School or equivalent required. Internship is typically part of an undergraduate program which requires some university credit hours. Undergraduate Junior/Senior preferred.
  • Experience: Up to 1 year of related experience
  • Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Salesforce application preferred.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to attend in person meetings 10-20%.
