Job Description

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will work as part of Phoenix team and focus on testing of cloud infrastructure backend services. These services are part of provisioning, data management and login workflows to support rest of larger Cloud-based product.

You will spend your days creating test cases, executing manual and automated tests, develop those tests in TypeScript and Playwright. If you are interested in a challenge, there are also tasks available for you related to security testing for the services.

Team works as part of SAFe program and delivers improvements to owned services through Program Increments and Sprints.

Team works in hybrid mode in Holešovice - Prague, Czech Republic (3 days in the office) reporting to manager, Petr Louda.

Your Responsibilities:

• Create test cases, execute manual tests (minority of all test cases).
• Develop automated tests within Playwright framework using TypeScript.
• Use automated tests to verify contributions of other team members.
• Work together with Product Owner, Scrum Master and Tech Lead of the team to provide inputs to planning including investigation of new testing tools.
• Support your colleagues in the team and from other teams on the program, including backing up Operations team.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

• University degree in computer sciences, software development, or similar technical studies.
• 2+ years of experience in software development as a tester in area of Cloud/Web Applications.
• 2+ years of experience performing automated testing using TypeScript and developing automated tests.
• Learn mindset in Generative AI area.
• Focus on delivering high-quality software.
• Fluent English
• Basic Czech language

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

• Experience with CI/CD development in GitHub, including GitHub Actions and FluxCD.
• Hands-on experience with Azure (or other big public Cloud provider), specifically AKS and Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of technologies or products like Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana.
• Experience with testing software using Generative AI.
