As a Senior Data Scientist in the Business Bank’s AI Centre of Excellence (AiCE), you’ll help design and deploy multi-agent AI systems that automate lending workflows and enhance customer experiences. Using agent-oriented design patterns, you’ll drive intelligent automation and deliver measurable business impact. You bring hands-on expertise in modern AI and data science, with a passion for building scalable, production-ready solutions.

You will work closely with key business stakeholders in the Business Bank, from our front line segment colleagues, through to our top of house risk and controls functions, while navigating the full breadth of Business Bank product and financial services design and delivery functions. Your AI and Data Science perspective will be informed by your experience in the financial services or financial technology domains.

 Tech skills:  

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. While we don’t expect you to know them all, experience or exposure to generative AI, agents, AI, and machine learning will set you up for success in this role.  

• Generative AI Hands-on Delivery Experience: Successfully deployed applications of generative AI in production settings.  

• Expertise in AI: Including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), safety guardrails, and Agentic AI frameworks.  

• Cloud Platforms: Experience using AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or Microsoft Azure OpenAI platforms.  

• GenAI and AI Models: Demonstrated experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring generative AI and AI models.  

• LLM Models: Proficiency in using large language models (LLMs) for various business applications.  

• Machine Learning Experience: Expertise in designing, constructing and deploying traditional machine learning models, covering feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, model evaluation.  

• Statistics and Big Data: Proficiency in statistical modelling using R, Python and SQL for big data analysis. Experience in working with big data platforms such as SQL, HDFS, Hive, Spark, Amazon EMR and S3.
