The Sales Associate for THE PLAYERS Championship supports tournament sales efforts both administratively and in a customer-facing capacity. The Sales Coordinator will work closely with the Sales Team and Tournament Services Manager to sell, process, and deliver sponsorship and hospitality packages, as well as, interact directly with prospective and existing clients to ensure an excellent customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Sales, Marketing or other related field
  • 0-2 years of corporate business experience required.  Prior experience in the sports industry with exposure to event management or event sales preferred.  Exposure to Ticketmaster Archtics computer system is also preferred.
  • Must possess strong Microsoft Office skills to include mail merges and intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed
  • Able to safely operate a utility vehicle such as, but not limited to, golf carts, utility carts, and shuttle carts.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Enter all sales contracts and Electronic Ticket Templates (ETTs) into the Ticketmaster Archtics system and forward approved copies to renewal clients within the established deadlines
  • Builds sponsorship and hospitality proposals for Senior Director and sales team as needed
  • Generate the internal revenue and inventory reports and validate the data to ensure that all sales are captured accurately
  • Assist the Tournament Services Manager with the post sale process to include: invoicing, client relations, merchandising/inventory control, etc.
  • Assist the Marketing Services department with the development and execution of the tournament marketing plan.  Act as the primary point of contact on-site to execute components of the marketing and promotions programs
  • Assist with the development of sales collateral for THE PLAYERS
  • During tournament week, interact with clients to ensure all of their needs are met, prospect new clients, assist Director to secure repeat purchases, and conduct fan surveys as requested
  • Provide support to the Senior Director - Sales and Manager - Community Relations and Charity Outreach as needed
  • Works with various internal departments to assist in managing lead generation and referrals between groups
  • Liaison between tournament sales team and Inside Sales for inventory/revenue reporting management
  • Generates Marketing and Hospitality Agreements and coordinates such efforts between client, sales lead and respective legal contacts (internal and external)
  • Liaises with Ticketing group on steps related to processing and fulfillment of completed hospitality deals
  • Assists sales team in A/R process
  • Supports sales team and TSM’s in coordinating sponsorship deliverables
  • Executes small package sales and Group Sales on an as-needed basis
  • Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
