About The Role

As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in using data to monitor and solve for operational issues and ongoing adhoc client support requests. You will also be responsible for maintaining and evolving our managed client portfolios in Tableau. You will monitor activity for critical KPIs and an assigned portfolio of clients – to proactively address any patterns of concern. 

You must be able to learn quickly, and present data in a digestible way to cross-functional stakeholders. You will have daily responsibilities to monitor payment transaction performance, identify areas of risk and concern, and proactively assist other teams in resolving any identified issues.

The Junior Data Analyst will report to the VP of Insights.

Candidates must live near one of our TabaPay offices in Mountain View, California (ideally) or our satellite office in New York City and will be required to work in the office at least 3 days a week (a hybrid work structure may be considered depending on the candidate’s experience).

What You’ll Do

• Perform day to day analytics on transaction performance, interpret the results, identify patterns of concern and work with network partners and clients to resolve these issues
• Respond to adhoc analytics and reporting requests from internal and external customers and assist with data delivery in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner
• Analyze and document business processes and metrics to identify improvement opportunities

 

What We Are Looking For
           

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, MIS or Operations Research, data science tracks as part of engineering degree programs, or similar applicable backgrounds
• Entry level: ideally 1 to 3 + years of experience in a data analytics or data modeling role, with a primary focus and interest in business analytics. Recent graduates will also be considered. 
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
• Must be proactive and engaged, eager to work with various teams and solve problems

 

Additional Skills/Experience of Interest: 

• Experience with a data analysis software language (preferably Python)
• Experience or training with Tableau is a strong plus
• SQL knowledge is a strong plus
• Prior experience in a startup or small fast-paced company environment is a strong plus
• Prior experience in the payments industry or financial services is a strong plus

 

The pay range for this position is $85,000-$100,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
