Join our Network team - We are looking for a Technical Manager!

The Network team is responsible for the development and management of the telecommunication networks at Posti, including but not limited to Firewalls, local area and wireless networks, DNS. Our network spans the whole Finland and is also connecting our locations in the Baltics and Sweden.

To succeed in this position, you don't need several years of experience in this field. You will have opportunity to learn by doing and improve your skills in multiple areas together with experienced colleagues.

To succeed in this position, we hope that you have:

  • A relevant educational background and a minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience in technical support operations of networks and troubleshooting and implementing changes in LAN/WLAN, Firewall, routing, VPN, DNS, etc. areas.
  • Experience with most of the following technologies is required: Cisco switching and routing technologies, Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls. Experience with the following is a plus: Infoblox, Load Balancing, network authentication.
  • A good understanding of cybersecurity and the ability to recognize the importance of applying it in your area of responsibility.
  • A strong motivation, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently, along with strong concentration skills and a good ability to learn and enhance your skillset.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Finnish are required to communicate effectively with our primarily Finnish-speaking stakeholders. Proficiency in English is also important for successful collaboration with our vendors. 

Additionally: 

  • You will need to have your own car to travel between various work locations as required.
  • You should also be available to work outside regular working hours (weekends and evenings) occasionally when maintenance tasks or immediate actions are needed. Work outside regular working hours is compensated according to the collective agreement for senior salaried employees.
