Proposal Engineer – Transformer Services

The opportunity

Join our Services team and play a key role in bringing complex technical solutions to life. You will prepare high-quality proposals for our local market, working closely with sales, engineering, and global factory teams. This role offers a unique mix of technical depth and commercial strategy. You will develop expertise in transformer monitoring solutions and digital integration. How you'll make an impact

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for local clients, covering all project aspects.
• Support the sales team during bid clarification and negotiation processes.
• Track proposal status and follow up with sales teams and clients consistently.
• Review client specifications and define the right technical solution for each bid.
• Identify risks in offers, estimates, and quotations and participate in risk reviews.
• Coordinate pricing strategies with the Services Sales Manager.
• Communicate with factories and third-party partners for technical and commercial clarifications.
• Prepare basic engineering documents, data sheets, and functional descriptions for bids.
• Define technical configurations and system architecture for transformer monitoring solutions.
• Support digital integration with APM platforms, SCADA, and industrial protocols.
• Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your background

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in technical proposal preparation or sales engineering roles.
• Knowledge of power transformers and associated monitoring systems (DGA, OLTC, bushings).
• Familiarity with digital integration protocols such as IEC 61850 or Modbus TCP/IP.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in technical documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate across cross-functional teams.
• Good communication skills in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
