JOB PURPOSE: As a Regional Risk and Compliance Manager at Caterpillar, you will have the exciting opportunity to implement and enhance the Ethics & Compliance Program for Construction Industries within the Asia Pacific Region. This role will provide compliance support to multiple facilities across the Asia Pacific Region, while also collaborating and partnering with organizations across the Enterprise. This position will also be responsible for coordinating Global Trade and Export Control compliance for Construction Industries. This position will report to the Construction Industries Risk & Compliance Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Additional roles and responsibilities may include:
- Provide leadership and support to the organization by fostering and enhancing a values-based culture.
- Provide leadership to actively interface and collaborate with all Compliance Risk process partners and act as an advisor to senior management for interpreting, analyzing, using, and effectively responding to compliance information.
- Partner with the Global Trade and Export Control team to implement processes to ensure compliance with global trade regulations, U.S. export controls and Enterprise procedures.
- Lead the development and implementation of worldwide controls/processes to ensure compliance with Caterpillar’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.
- Identify key compliance risks, understand how they impact the Region, and lead projects to mitigate the risks.
- Deliver targeted communications on the Ethics & Compliance Program across the Segment.
- Oversee the development and timely completion of any applicable remediation plans to correct issues identified through the course of an internal audit, assessment, compliance review or OBP investigation.
- Design, develop, implement, monitor, and report compliance metrics to demonstrate Ethics & Compliance Program effectiveness within the Segment. Provide reports to senior leaders, the Office of Business Practices, Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, and the Enterprise Risk Advisors.
- Serve as a key contact, where appropriate, for Internal Audits, Assessments, and Compliance Reviews.
- Set the tone on communications and play a key role in delivering ethics and compliance learning needs within the Segment.
- Attend and participate in global and regional meetings in support of Caterpillar’s Ethics and Compliance Program.
- Provide support and guidance for Compliance Councils.
SKILLIS REQUIRED
- Business Ethics: Knowledge of practices, behaviors, applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing proper business conduct; ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations.
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
- Issues Management and Remediation: Knowledge of techniques and processes for issue management and remediation; ability to identify any error or fault, and correcting them in a timely manner.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state.
Top Candidates Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Progressive Risk and or Compliance related experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Data Analytic tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, etc.
Additional Info:
- The location for this position is in Singapore.
- Candidate must be fluent in English and Mandarin.
- This role is full time and currently requires a minimum of 3 days a week in office
- Sponsorship is not available
- International travel up to 50%
