Tencent Overseas IT is dedicated to supporting Tencent's fast global expansion by providing future-ready IT platforms, applications, and services. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Project Manager with a strong passion for leveraging technology to solve complex challenges within IT Foundation Services. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from Foundation Support and Infrastructure Build-out to Day 1 Onboarding and continuous engagement. IT serves as a key driver in delivering essential services to both internal and external stakeholders. This position will report to IT Manager, Americas IT.

This role is pivotal in collaborating with our overseas internal and external studios, as well as HR, Finance, and various business teams, to design, plan, build, and optimize streamlined, cohesive IT frameworks. These blueprints will encompass the required solutions, platforms, applications, and processes. This essential work will support Tencent’s rapid employee and business expansion in overseas markets, including the Americas, Europe, and APAC.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution:

  • Lead end-to-end project management for studio IT operations, from project initiation to final delivery.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones to track progress and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.

2. Team Coordination & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, production, procurement, and external partners, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams, translating technical jargon into business language when necessary.

3. Budget & Resource Management:

  • Manage project budgets, ensuring all expenses are within allocated funds.
  • Allocate resources efficiently and ensure teams have the tools and support needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost overruns or resource constraints.

4. Risk Management and Problem-Solving:

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle to minimize disruptions and delays.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen project challenges.

5. Technology Implementation and Support:

  • Work with engineer teams to implement studio-specific technology solutions, such as software systems for production, asset management, and workflow automation.
  • Ensure that all technology solutions meet studio needs and industry standards.
  • Oversee the testing and deployment of new tools, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.

6. Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate current studio workflows and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency using technological solutions.
  • Implement best practices for project management and technology adoption.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Provide regular project status reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, risks, and recommendations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in project management and operations.
  • Proficient in analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on accomplishing project objectives and delivering value.
  • Proficiency in Agile project management, resource allocation, and change management.
  • Ability to maintain high performance under pressure, effectively addressing various dynamic challenges to ensure project success and continuity.
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities, with extensive experience managing cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Trilingual proficiency in English, Chinese, and French is advantageous, enabling effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders in all three languages.

The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $122,400.0 to $255,600.0 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
