About the Role

1. Handle and manage reviews, appeals, complaints cases.
2. Maintain underwriting qualities, and support to relevant distribution channels.
3. Provide customer friendly decision.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To review and underwrite complicated cases and achieve high settlement ratio.
  • To evaluate and countersigning cases recommended by the junior underwriter, to make prudent business-focused decisions effectively and timely.
  • To ensure Turn-Around-Time and service level is efficiently managed.
  • Engage with business peers/partners and act as professional to liaise with Life Planners.
  • To provide technical consultation/advice. Provide solution and guide agent to get the case finalized.
  • Priority consultation and underwriting services for premier Life Planners.
  • Able to prepare and conduct Underwriting workshop/Clinic/roadshow.
  • Involved in Compliance screening related tasks and ensure continuous compliance of regulations/ procedures set for New Business Underwriting Department. Provide top priority service to all complaint cases.
  • To perform other responsibilities and duties, this may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisors/HOD in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Possess a tertiary qualification preferably in Medical Science or equivalent.
  • Preferably with at least 5 years working experience in Life Insurance Industry in medical and financial underwriting, legal aspect of life insurance.
  • Strong interpersonal & delegation skills.
  • Able to share any ideas, suggestion or guidelines clearly with the team.
  • Able to build good relationship & trust at all levels.
  • Right demeanor & ability to produce high quality work under pressure.
