JOB DESCRIPTION
People Leader Role: No
Responsibilities:
• Accountable for performing data analysis and routine financial calculations and reporting primarily using spreadsheets and databases.
• Develop the ability to assess reasonableness of inputs and end-products. .
• Provide support to actuarial staff in completion of data analysis and validation, and financial calculations and reporting.
• Resolve work assignments or analytical problems that do not require knowledge of actuarial mathematics.
• Perform calculations using spreadsheet programs and databases, run reports from PC applications, and identify differences in month-to-month experience.
• Assist in quality control including, but not limited to, data validation for reasonableness.
• Run standardized reports from the admin system on a regular basis
• Maintain and improve documentation of tasks for general reference.
• Develop and refine analytical skills to understand complex problems by decomposing issues into smaller, more manageable pieces.
• Develop an understanding of the business and its profitability drivers. Shared Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with financial/ economic principles.
• Solid MS Office skills, including MS Access. Familiarity with Visual Basic an asset.
• Good mathematical skills, familiarity with statistical analysis.
• Analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
