The student will work closely with the local IT Field Technician to gain hands-on experience in various areas of Information Technology. This opportunity offers an excellent environment to develop both technical and interpersonal skills in a dynamic professional setting.

What’s involved in this role:

• On-site technical support: Assist users with IT equipment such as laptops, desktops, printers, and other peripherals.

• IT security: Participate in the implementation and monitoring of cybersecurity best practices.

• Networking: Contribute to the configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of local networks.

• Virtualization: Learn and work with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware.

• Customer Support: Interact with end users to resolve technical issues and ensure high-quality service delivery.

What you need to join our team: 

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science or related academic program.

• Available 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the summer.

• Must be able to travel to the work site.

• Strong interest in Information Technology.

• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.

• Team player with a willingness to learn.
