Position Grade: Technical Officer Grade 1/2 (Year 1-8 & Year 1-4)
Salary: $63,725.98 - $91,786.58 base salary per annum

About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Haematology Department. The successful applicant will be rotated through the laboratory areas of Haematology, Haemostasis and Transfusion Medicine. The position will involve rostered shift work including rostered weekend work.

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Technical Officer who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people with the relevant knowledge and skills.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
2.Have appropriate tertiary qualifications in a scientific or technical filed relevant to the practice of pathology.
3. Previous experience in Haematology, Haemostasis and Transfusion Medicine.
4. Previous experience with LIMS.
5. Previous IT experience.
6. Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
7. Effective oral and written communication skills.
8. Flexibility in work hours and commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development.
